Als Analytics Engineer übernimmst Du folgende spannende Aufgaben:
  • Du entwirfst und implementierst Datenmodelle in modernen Data Warehouses und Data Lakehouses und sorgst dafür, dass analytische Daten zuverlässig und performant bereitgestellt werden
  • Du baust und pflegst Datentransformationspipelines mit dbt und stellst sicher, dass Datenflüsse dokumentiert, getestet und versioniert sind
  • Du entwickelst dimensionale Datenmodelle (Kimball Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, DataVault 2.0) und integrierst vielfältige Datenquellen zu einem konsistenten analytischen Datenbestand
  • Du implementierst Data Quality Checks (z.B. Great Expectations, dbt Tests) und trägst zur Pflege von Data Catalogues und Data Lineage bei
  • Du optimierst Datenbankperformance und arbeitest mit modernen Tabellenformaten wie Delta Lake und Apache Iceberg
  • Du arbeitest eng mit Data Analysts, Data Scientists und Fachbereichen zusammen und übersetzt Geschäftsanforderungen in skalierbare Datenmodelle
  • Du übernimmst Verantwortung für (Teil-)Projekte, strukturierst Datenprozesse und sorgst für die erfolgreiche Umsetzung
  • Dank deiner Kommunikationsstärke und hohen Kundenorientierung trägst du maßgeblich zum Erfolg unserer Projekte bei – egal ob in Meetings, Workshops oder Präsentationen

Das bist Du
  • Du hast fundierte Erfahrung in der Datenmodellierung im Datenplattform-Umfeld und weißt, wie man Rohdaten in analytisch nutzbare Strukturen überführt
  • Du hast mit dbt (dbt Core und/oder dbt Cloud) auf mehr als einem Projekt gearbeitet oder bringst mindestens ein halbes Jahr praktische dbt-Erfahrung mit
  • Du beherrschst Dimensional Data Modelling (Kimball Star Schema, Snowflake Schema) und hast Erfahrung mit Datenintegration und -transformation (ELT/ETL)
  • Du verfügst über solide SQL-Kenntnisse und idealerweise Programmierkenntnisse in Python
  • Du kennst dich mit Data Lakehouses aus (Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift) und hast idealerweise mit Tabellenformaten wie Delta Lake oder Apache Iceberg gearbeitet
  • Erfahrung mit Data Quality Tools (z.B. Great Expectations), Data Catalogues und Data Lineage ist von Vorteil
  • Erfahrung mit Data Vault 2.0 ist ein Plus
  • Du kannst komplexe Sachverhalte verständlich erklären – auf Deutsch (mind. B1) und Englisch
  • Gelegentliche Reisen zum Kunden sind für Dich kein Problem
  • Du arbeitest gerne im Team und bringst mit deiner Empathie und Kommunikationsstärke jedes Projekt voran

As an Analytics Engineer, you will take on the following exciting tasks:

  • Design and implement data models in modern Data Warehouses and Data Lakehouses, ensuring analytical data is delivered reliably and performantly
  • Build and maintain data transformation pipelines with dbt, ensuring data flows are documented, tested, and version-controlled
  • Develop dimensional data models (Kimball Star Schema, Snowflake Schema) and integrate diverse data sources into a consistent analytical data layer
  • Implement Data Quality checks (e.g., Great Expectations, dbt tests) and contribute to maintaining Data Catalogues and Data Lineage
  • Optimize database performance and work with modern table formats such as Delta Lake and Apache Iceberg
  • Collaborate closely with Data Analysts, Data Scientists, and business stakeholders, translating business requirements into scalable data models
  • Take ownership of (sub-)projects, structure data processes, and ensure smooth execution
  • Use your strong communication skills and customer-oriented mindset to contribute significantly to project success—whether in meetings, workshops, or presentations
Who you are
  • You have solid experience in data modelling within a Data Warehouse environment and know how to transform raw data into analytics-ready structures
  • You have worked with dbt (dbt Core and/or dbt Cloud) in more than one project or bring at least six months of hands-on dbt experience
  • You are proficient in Dimensional Data Modelling (Kimball Star Schema, Snowflake Schema) and have experience with data integration and transformation (ELT/ETL)
  • You have strong SQL skills and ideally programming experience in Python
  • You are familiar with Data Lakehouses (Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift) and ideally have worked with table formats such as Delta Lake or Apache Iceberg
  • Experience with Data Quality tools (e.g., Great Expectations), Data Catalogues, and Data Lineage is a plus
  • Experience with Data Vault 2.0 is a bonus
  • You can explain complex topics clearly—in German (at least B1 level) and English
  • You don’t mind travelling to our customers from time to time
  • You thrive in a team environment and bring empathy, communication skills, and a proactive mindset to every project
