Lead Data Engineer (m/w/d)

As part of our Data Science team, you work on customer-specific solutions:
  • You are responsible for the development of interfaces to existing data sources (SQL, file, API etc.)
  • The development of data preparation, aggregation and cleansing pipelines (ETL) is also part of your tasks
  • You are a cloud expert and specialist in at least one of the major hyperscalers (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • You have fundamental experience in the design and implementation of scalable cloud architectures, ideally in production environments
  • You have worked hand-on with event and streaming technologies such as SQS, PubSub, EventHub and Kafka
  • The documentation of data structures in a data dictionary is a matter of course for you
  • As well as the storage of data in a central data store (SQL, No-SQL, Hadoop etc.)
  • You will develop RESTful API services using established frameworks and standards (Flask, Swagger)
  • You will be responsible for writing automated tests and documentation, as well as implementing CI/CD pipelines
Who you are
  • You have at least 8 years' experience in software development in an industrial environment and are up for the next big challenge
  • Sound knowledge of Python, including libraries relevant to data science, is a prerequisite
  • Knowledge of Java, Scala or Kotlin, as well as Machine Learning is desirable
  • You have proven experience with SQL (Postgres, MySQL, Oracle) as well as No-SQL (Mongo DB) databases
  • You are familiar with Big Data technologies - especially in the Hadoop ecosystem
  • You already have solid experience with container technologies and micro-services, as well as cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • You are a strong leader with a proven track record of professional success and have experience in building and leading teams and project management
  • As an excellent communicator, you are in constant communication with stakeholders, the team and the general public in German (at least B2) and English
  • You have a high level of result and customer orientation and are willing to travel for projects from time to time

Als Teil unseres Data Science Teams arbeitest Du an kundenspezifischen Lösungen:
 
  • Du verantwortest die Entwicklung von Schnittstellen zu bestehenden Datenquellen (SQL, File, API etc.)
  • Die Entwicklung von Datenaufbereitungs-, Aggregations- und Bereinigungspipelines (ETL) gehört ebenfalls zu Deinen Aufgaben
  • Du bist Cloud-Experte und Spezialist auf mindestens einem der großen Hyperscaler (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Du bringst Erfahrung im Design und der Implementierung skalierbarer Cloud-Architekturen mit, optimalerweise in Produktionsumgebungen
  • Du hast Hand-on mit Event- und Streaming-Technologien wie SQS, PubSub, EventHub und Kafka gearbeitet
  • Die Dokumentation von Datenstrukturen in einem Data Dictionary ist für Dich selbstverständlich
  • Sowie die Speicherung der Daten in einem zentralen Datenspeicher (SQL, No-SQL, Hadoop etc.)

Das bist Du
